Spring has Sprung!

Someone is not a fan of the grass

What a difference a cord makes!  I lost my camera cord, finally gave up on looking for it and just got a new one.  So here are 2 months worth of pictures and happenings.

We had lots of fun at a birthday party with a play area and carousel.  Ava wasn't a huge fan of the carousel but she had a great time.

Such a big girl

Crawling through tunnels

She plays in her bouncy seat - loves buckles!

This girl loves her books!

Such a goof

Loves playing in Scooter's bowls

When the weather is nice, we've been spending a lot of time outside.  Ava loves it!

One of Ava's favorite games now is Chase.  We run after her and she squeals with delight.

We had a great Eater weekend with family!  It was so fun watching Ava hunt for eggs and get excited when she found them.  Every new and neat thing is now met with, "Ooooohhhhh."  She will also let you know if the phone is ringing or a kitchen timer is going off in the same manner.  Back to Easter, we discovered that poor Ava had a nasty virus the next week, but she was smiley and sweet the whole time.  (Note to self - stay away from germ factories like play places) - poor girl didn't stand a chance.

"Hollywood" as Daddy calls her

Dying fingers is way more fun, Mommy

Double Fisting

Someone likes playing with Easter eggs a lot!

A girl and her dog
So much to cover over the lengthy absence of updates.  Ava is 15 months now, almost 32 inches tall and weighs 22 pounds.  She runs everywhere she can - she only knows one speed now.  Ava says a variety of animal noises and has about 20 words that she says on a regular basis.  Our nemesis is the car seat.  It is a battle to get her in most days, she is such a stinker.  She definitely prefers her own car.

Actually...she doesn't really sit in that seat either, haha!  Here is some more outside fun.

Higher, Daddy!

Daddy is so much better at this, Mommy.

Someone doesn't like swings anymore :(

We got the teeniest, tiniest smile
When it's not so nice outside, our living room has been converted to a toy pit.  We put it away and it always seems to find its way out again.

We like to "dive bomb" things, so we have a beanbag now

Ava is obsessed with zippers - won't leave them up!

Smiley girl!

Diaper butt messing around at the office

Who does that?

We are very much looking forward to the summer and nice weather.  Many days will be spent outside.  I am so excited to experience it all with Ava...and update more frequently about all of our adventures.  :)

Funny Girl

Ava is 13 months old and all over the place!  She is very steady on her feet now and tries to run as much as she can.  Some of her favorite things to do are to run up to Scooter and give him a hug (and say awwww) and get a kiss.  She is so loving.  She walks around with her Lovie, blanket and other toys, curls them up to her face to "hug" them and says "Awww."  She is very funny.  She has also now taken to wearing her blanket around like a cape.  She likes to wear my gloves and try to put on her own hat, too.  This is how she plays. Haha!

Insisted on having her snow suit on her arms.

Wearing Mommy's gloves
We had her one year photos taken and were able to get some nice family pictures, too!

Loves giving kisses

Daddy's Girl

So Big!

She cracks me up!

Super hard to get her to stay in one place!

"Oh Mommy!!!"

We are definitely looking forward to the warmer weather but will enjoy a few more snow outings before the winter is through.

Not so sure about the Bear Suit

Big news for Daddy, he finally got a new car!  Ava helped to say goodbye to his old one.  She got her first Happy Meal after a long day of looking at cars.

She looks like she's up to something

Bye, bye old car!
It's a little bittersweet - I know, I know, it's just a car.  But we have so many good memories with that car.  After all, it did bring our sweet girl home for the very first time!  (Among so many other memories!)  We are looking forward to many new memories in Daddy's new car.  (Pictures to come)

She loves to read her books.  She will turn the pages when you tell her to and at the end of a story will consistently say something that resembles "The End."  She is trying so hard to talk, and it is adorable.  It sounds much like garbled sounds being said underwater.  She knows exactly what she is trying to tell you and will insistently keep telling you and gesturing until she gets her point across.  She likes to look at herself in her car mirror and giggle too. I love watching her understand and learn new things each day.  She is amazing.
She loves her Curious George
I can't wait until it's warmer to get outside and do more things!  Looking forward to her discovery of all that spring has to offer.
