Ava has been bursting with excitement about starting school for the past few weeks. The big day came and she was completely out of sorts! We think that she was so nervous and anxious but didn't really know what she was feeling. The only thing she knew what to do to express that was to act out at home…we had trouble getting her dressed, ready, to eat, in the car - everything! But she snapped out of it and once we got there she was a bit shy but happy to be there.
She cautiously checked things out and eventually went to playing. She was quite taken with the dress-up shoe collection and the babies. She spent the majority of her time there. We were able to leave her in the classroom for a bit while we went to the parent session. She was great the whole time! I couldn't be happier with the loving teachers she has and the caring environment that she will be in. She even knows a little friend in there already from church! Today was a shortened, get-to-know-you morning so next week will be her first full session. I still consider today her first day - so get ready for the onslaught of pictures!

I know that she will do wonderfully at school. We are so blessed to have found such an amazing school! So, with school, begins other fun and exciting things as well…anyone want to buy any mums Ava is selling? ;)
