Bits by Becca: Hilary and Adam's Wedding 5/24/14

We had an amazing weekend with family for Adam and Hilary's wedding! All week, Ava was talking about how we were going to the "wedding party." She knew there was dancing and a party…that girl was in! She prepared for the weekend by saying everyone that she would be dancing with, Mimi's Steve's Kevin came up the most. (Mimi is our sitter - her son is Kevin, who is also Uncle Steve's best friend. Ava knows Kevin as Steve's Kevin, so when it was explained to her earlier in the week that he is also Mimi's son, Mimi's Steve's Kevin was born. Say it wrong and she will correct you, haha!!!)

We started off early Saturday morning for our road trip. Ava was awesome in the car!

Once we got to the hotel and checked in, we had some time to take a swim! It's been a while since either Scott or I have swam with Ava, since she moved to "big girl" lessons, so it was really nice.

It was a gorgeous day to match a gorgeous bride. Ava loved looking at "pretty Hilry" as she called her. :) So wonderful to have so much family around! Ava was most excited for the dancing portion - once she got to the dance floor we literally could not get her off. She had many dancing partners and a huge grin on her face the whole time. We would take her off to get some water and she would find someone and say, "Let's go there," and point to the dance floor. Of course everyone willingly (mostly) went, who could resist a two year hold ~~dragging~~ pulling you onto the dance floor. :) Seriously though, we had so much fun! She was exhausted and dancing on fumes, so of course getting her to leave was a battle. I am happy to report that she slept quite soundly.

Ava was told to smell the flowers and she stood in her spot inhaling as hard as she could, it was hilarious because she wouldn't bend her head down to the flower.

This was one of the few nice pictures we got of Nathan and Ava. One and a half and two year olds tend not to stay still for too long, let alone in the same spot. :)

Ava and her many dance partners - this isn't even all of them! We couldn't keep up with her so had to keep switching off. I guess we need to sign this girl up for dance lessons!
