Happy Hallow-skgiving

Apparently I forgot to add in Halloween and Thanksgiving pictures.  Oh well.  A double bonus for this one (that I'm not even getting to until December!) Ava's first Halloween with Trick-or-treating was a wet one, but she had fun.  Once she figured out that she got candy when she said Trick-or-Treat she was really digging it.

Ava's first ever stop - the Kriewaldts!
Despite the rain we had fun.  We went to about 10 houses before heading back to have dinner with all of Ava's grandparents.

We celebrated two Thanksgivings with our families.  The first was with Scott's family the weekend before Thanksgiving and the second with mine on Thanksgiving.  Of course I forgot my camera on Thanksgiving day (along with the high chair and the dinner rolls), it was a rushed day after Scott and I ran a race that morning.

We have so much to be thankful for.  We are amazingly blessed.  I am excited for the magic of December to come!

Dancing Diva

Ready for some dancing
Ava went to her first school dance of the year a couple of weeks ago.  It took her a bit to warm up but once she did she was a dancing machine.  (By dancing I mean she bobbed up and down with some jumps in-between.)  It was a glow dance so she was fascinated with the lights.  I love experiencing everything new through her eyes and experience.  Very cool.

Pumpkin Patch Pickings

We found some more goats.
We took advantage of having Columbus Day off and headed to Stade's for some pumpkin picking fun.  We were unsure how Ava would do because she had already had her swimming lessons that morning but she was a trooper!  We think that she didn't like it as much as apple picking just because the terrain was uneven and she didn't like getting caught up in the vines and leaves.  It took a lot of coaxing to even get her to sit on a pumpkin.
The first thing she saw was the giant pumpkin balloon.

On the wagon ride to get the pumpkins.

Pumpkins, Dada!

Our day wouldn't be complete without a trip to the petting zoo.  Ava LOVES those little goats!  She was full of smiles and giggles once again but got more affectionate this time.  All she wanted to do was hug them.  We ate lunch before the petting zoo and kept telling Ava we would see the goats when we were finished.  As soon as we put the food away, "Goats, yeah!" was what she kept saying.

Sneaking in a kiss

Awww, nice hug

Those poor goats

She then tried to kiss the donkey

...and pet a cow

And hug the cow.
After we had some petting zoo fun we headed to the activities.  Ava loved the slides!  We made sure to ride the mini-train because Ava loves to see "choo-choos."

I love the fall so much!  We are having so much fun and taking advantage of every opportunity that we get to spend time together.
